- Universal Sony Launch, Doltone House
When Universal Pictures International Entertainment and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment formed a new joint venture to distribute home entertainment products within Australia, CarpetHire.com was called in to assist with the launch. We provided a 120m turquoise expo carpet runner along the outside of Doltone House as well as supplying 65 of our Chrome Bollards and White Ropes to accompany the carpet.
- Volkswagen Gala Dinner, Hordern Pavilion
In January Jack Morton held the Volkswagen Gala Dinner and asked Carpet Hire to be there to help. We covered a whopping 1260 square metre area of the Hordern Pavilion in our black expo show carpet and then provided a 20 metre long blue carpet for the entrance to the event. Carpet Hire worked through the night to a tight deadline in order to get everything completed in time. Suffice to say our client was very happy with the result!
- Star Wars 3D, Event Cinemas, George St
Carpet Hire was called in to provide carpet for the Australian premiere of Star Wars 3D. When our client, Visual Event Management, requested a custom made 30 metre ‘Darth Maul’ carpet we knew exactly how to provide it. We created the look using our red expo carpet, stencils and black paint. We also supplied the media wall, bollards and ropes and a load of our black expo show carpet.
- AACTA Awards, Sydney Opera House
On 31st January Carpet Hire covered the Sydney Opera House in their signature red carpet for the first annual AACTA Awards (previously the AFI Awards). The installation took just under three days for our crew to complete for the awards ceremony. Carpet Hire was also on hand to supply 130m of bollards and ropes to add the finishing touch to the red carpet event.
- War Memorial Opening, North Bondi RSL
Sunday 27th November saw North Bondi RSL donate a new War Memorial to the communities of North Bondi and Bondi Beach to recognise the 70th anniversary of the end of the Siege of Tobruk. Carpet Hire was onsite at 4am working to a tight deadline to provide the event with over 30m of plush red carpet as well as 50 brass bollards and a mix of red and black ropes to provide the event with the grandeur that it deserved.
- Hitachi Logo Carpet
When Hitachi contacted Carpet Hire with the unusual request of a 6m long customised logo carpet we knew exactly how to provide it. Using our black and white poly carpet together with a custom made stencil, we were able to cut each letter out individually and attach them into the carpet. The overall look was outstanding and made for a very happy client!
- Kardashian’s Handbag Launch, Hugo’s Nightclub
2nd November saw Carpet Hire’s involvement in the launch of Kim and Khloe Kardashian’s new handbag range at Kings Cross nightclub, Hugo’s. We were called in to carpet over 25 stairs at the entrance to Hugo’s in our black poly as well as providing chrome bollards and black ropes. A 20m black carpet runner was also provided for everyone to make their way down on the way to the launch. The event was a huge hit with countless celebrities turning up to show their support for the Kardashian’s.
- Sony Wharf4Ward Charity Event, Finger Wharf
When Eventify asked CarpetHire to provide 300sqm of plush blue carpet for Sony’s Wharf4Ward charity event we happily obliged. A 150m blue carpet runner was laid along Finger Wharf for guests to stroll down on their way to the event. With a turnout of over 800 people a whopping $550,000 was raised to build specialised youth cancer wards across Australia.
