If The Squirrel Club awarded a colourful carpet or media walls skill badge we’d be sure to win! Our client had some firm theming ideas and we met the brief with a specially-made, on-theme carpet, complimented with a perfectly seamless media wall.

Finishing touches included a black drape line to provide a clean and tidy back drop and front lighting on the media wall to suit professional photography.

Remember The Time you didn’t think there was room for a fabulous media wall? We have solutions! The bonus of turning to our team’s technical skill and custom-designed framework is that we’re always seeking ways to do something a little bit different. In this instance theslim profile of our double-sided framework – exclusive to Carpethire and event essentials – provided a narrow wall to perfectly fit the space available. Add the pop of internal lighting and the client’s design was a Thriller.

Additional elements to compliment the space consisted of coloured lighting, red and black premium plush carpets, tensa barriers for queuing, and power supplied via Li-Tech battery systems.

When luxury brands and stylish films collide then only the most beautiful media wall product will do! Not just an arrivals element, in this instance our media wall products were used to represent a boutique display linking the visual dynamics of the brand and the film.

Images below feature the renders from our original proposal and the final result. The media walls were the stand-out feature of the spaces in three states, with the custom internal lighting element making the walls appear true to life. Add solar-loaded Li-Tech batteries to provide power and you have a clean, neat event without compromising quality.

A Smurfy event entry transformed the foyer space for a film-inspired, experiential space. The film characters were brought to life with a 9-metre-wide internally-lit media wall, and on-brand coloured turf perfectly complimenting the theme. We’re proud to say the turf installation on existing carpet did not budge one millimetre over the 4-week activation, even with vast numbers of Smurfy little fans playing in the space!

Custom created signage and toadstools futher enhanced the look to bring the Smurf village to life.

We custom designed our framework to provide a close-fit of the fabric, minimising creases and provide numerous sizes, options and configurations. All that planning really pays off when we get an opportunity to provide walls like this one. The single piece of fabric - 16.0m in length – was tight as a drum for over 20 days of installation providing a perfect background to the hospitality space. Find a crease, I challenge you!

A magical entrance for a magical movie premiere! Pink, pink and more pink was the theme for this event so using our bright pink plush carpet, chrome bollards and pink ropes made for a stunning event entrance. Beautiful props further complimented the space for elegant photo opportunities.

Your guests will not forget the impact of an internally-lit media wall! For this installation the wow factor was magnified with an extra high 3m wall at 6.5m wide. All lighting was powered on battery which resulted in a super-clean event space, and enabled the media wall to be placed anywhere in the venue regardless of access to power.

Stand out from the crowd - everyone is doing red carpet!  The brief for this film premiere was inspired by the lead character, and called for a carpet entrance with a difference.  Burgundy was the carpet colour of choice which created an impressive entrance for great photo opportunities.  The entrance space was finished with burgundy ropes and 'classy' gold bollards.

Anyone can conceive a red carpet entrance so how about something different with stripes!  Our customers are a creative lot and rely on us to customise carpets into a variety of shapes and sizes.  This was a challenging build combining carpet on stairs with a multi-coloured striped design.  We used exhibiton carpet to build this fun carpet that certainly provided impact.

This annual event takes theming elements to the max, and is always a feast for the eye. We contributed hundreds of metres of unashamedly, bright and bold pink exhibition carpet which defined the event spaces in a dramatic fashion.

My, that's a lot of steps!  Carpeting so many steps can present some challenges, so clients rely on our technical experience and put their trust in our team to provide a professional, neat, tidy and, importantly, safe installation for their guests.  Such a beautiful, iconic building deserves a beautifully installed carpet and we delivered! Premium red plush, brass bollards and red ropes created a grand entrance.

Looks straight forward right? Looks can be deceiving!  Try over 160 lineal metres of vivid, blue exhibition carpet with high tack decals applied to create the appearance of traffic lanes.

The challenge? This carpet was installed over existing carpet for a nine-day event with foot traffic of thousands of visitors per day.  Did it move? No way, not an inch!  Our professional installation included the use of a special product to prevent carpet moving in addition to the use of regular adhesive tapes.  This additional product minimises the likelihood of 'carpet creep' when carpet is installed over existing carpet.  This is one of the many differences that set us apart from our competition.

For this high profile international occasion the brief required installation of a firm surface for delegates to walk upon in addition to providing wheelchair accessibility over grass for a photo opportunity.  We chose a colour that enhanced the surrounding greenery without detracting from the picturesque background.  As the installation surface was grass, we also installed a plastic sub-floor to provide a safe and solid surface for all guests.

For the film premiere of Les Miserables, one of the world’s most respected musicals, we rolled out one of Australia’s longest carpets. 

Big name stars Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Academy award-winning director Tom Hooper and producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh were in town to promote the film and walk the 300-metre red carpet from Sydney’s King Street along Pitt Street Mall to the State Theatre.

We also installed media walls, barricading and glittering gold bollards and ropes for crowd control at this popular and well-attended event held in a busy Sydney shopping precinct that stopped Christmas shoppers.

What we did:

Yellow was the colour of choice for this outdoor event, held at the iconic Luna Park on Sydney Harbour. 

The brief for this event was to match the yellow of the Australian Wallabies (rugby union) team jersey and stand out against the colourful backdrop of the popular amusement park. 

We installed more than 600 square metres of bright yellow expo carpet around the big top under which the ceremony was held. A big job, we used over 1000 metres of adhesive tape and most of the day for a crew of 6.

What we did:

The brief for this event was to create a customised carpet themed for a ball held at Taronga Zoo to raise fund for Lemur conservation programs.

We designed and installed a carpet runner using black and white expo carpet in alternating stripes to mimic the tail of a lemur. 

The event was a great success and raised $506,000 for Lemur conservation projects as well as a world-class exhibit and a special breeding facility at Taronga Western Plains Zoo (Dubbo).

For the latest version of this film franchise the creative types came up with a theme that reinforced the movie branding perfectly.  We created the customised carpet with alternating red and white stripes, and rectangular blue carpet circles adorned with stars for a carpet entrance with a real wow factor.  The colour theming was reinforced with alternating red, white and blue bollard ropes.
